Respite Services

We provide respite services for families of people with disabilities within HRM.

Respite is an important support for balancing family life.

Respite provides time for parents and caregivers to recharge their energy. It also provides opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in activities, meet new people, and build relationships outside of their family circle.

SSG works with families in the Metro area to tailor a consistent schedule and programs that best fit the individual’s needs. Coordinators will provide a list of SSG Support Workers who are interested in working extra respite hours.
